Hmm well to start off I'm totally bummed that I missed the reunion. I was so excited to come and see all the old friends. I pulled a total blonde moment and thought it was Saturday night not Friday and I actually sat home doing nothing the night of the reunion. Total bummer! I was sad. I did however make it to the Saturday picnic softball game and saw some old faces that I haven't seen in a long time and I had a great time! :) I'm not into this blogger thing and not sure how to do all of it so I may need some pointers :) I do the my space thing and face book thing and I've found so many old friends and it's been great to keep in contact and catch up on the lives of old friends. As for me and the last ten years wow.... I don't even know. So much has happened and boy how time flies when you're having fun. :) Right after high school as some of you may know I got married and unfortunately have since been divorced. I am currently single and have been going on four years now. I don't have any children. I have Sugar Bear a black lab puppy though and she is the best! I worked for Stevens~ Henager College after high school. I worked there for almost eight years and did variety of different positions. I loved working with my students and built many great professional relationships and friendships. I also obtained my Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration through SHC. I resigned from Stevens~Henager in September 2007 and took a big leap of faith as I didn't have another job! I just was ready for a change. I then worked as a Regional Manager for a clothing company called Undertease which was based out of Provo. I loved that job and it was a lot of fun to do the marketing and management of the malls and kiosk and their online orders, however the retail industry is very demanding of your time and especially your weekends and I decided that it wasn't for me. I went to college in order to free my weekends :) I then resigned from there and got hired on at Novell. I am presently working for Novell and I love my job. Novell is doing surprisingly well with the present economy and they treat us awesome! I own a home in Spanish Fork that I bought when I just turned 21. Currently I am renting my home out and I am living back at home with my parents in Springville. It's tough being back at home but I have great parents and until the economy picks up a bit that is where I'll plan to be. I keep in touch with as many friends as I can... usually through facebook or myspace :) I love hearing from old acquaintances and friends so please keep in touch.... and remember to bear with me because I don't know how to do this blogging stuff :) :) :)

I thought I would also send my update since attending the Reunion.

On Sept 10th we added a little boy to our family.

Carson Arlow was born at 7:57am at Utah Valley Hospital.

He weighed 6 pounds 3 ounces and was 19 inches long.

He's been my smallest baby so far! So far he has also been my

best baby! He's so mellow and sleeps great! I just hope he stays that way!

I just thought I'd take you up on your offer to post an update. I was really hoping it would work out for us to make it to the class reunion, but my baby decided to come a few weeks early. In fact, Cayson was born on June 14, the weekend of the reunion! He weighed in at 5lbs 14 oz and ended up spending 10 days in the NICU as a result of his prematurity. He's obviously doing great now, and we love having a boy after our 3 girls! Can't wait for another 10 years to see where everyone's at!

What have I been up to? After HS I worked for Doyle Hatfield Masonry and attended UVSC. I played quite a bit, so it took a while to get my Associates degree. From there I moved up to SLC to attend The University of Utah. I earned my BS in Exercise & Sport Science in 2006, and was accepted to the Physical Therapy program at the U. The summer of 2007 I completed an orthopedic clinical internship in Twin Falls, ID.

This summer I was in Redding, CA at a rehabilitation hospital working with neurologically involved patients. I'm in my last year now and will have my Doctorate of Physical Therapy in May 2009. I am not married, don't have any kids, and still waiting for that special girl. I started Skydiving a few years ago, and have ~150 jumps. I jump about every other weekend in Ogden. After school I plan on heading back up to Twin Falls, ID to learn how to B.A.S.E. jump.

Celeste (Minch) Hepworth

Wow! Time goes by so fast. So after graduating and attending UVSC for a few years, I decided that Utah was not the place I wanted to be. I moved to Clarksville, Tennessee where I got a job working for Army Air Force Exchange Services as a cashier and worked my up to supervisor. I had a brief stint in childcare services and as a surgical tech for an oral surgeon. I met my husband, Wayne (a medic in the United States Army) in April of 2004 and we were married by December. His first name is actually Lester but only the Army calls him that. His brothers, in their infinite humor, nicknamed us Celester and it seems to have stuck. We got married in Springville December 31, 2004 and returned to TN where he faced deployment. We were saved from that by a transfer to Yuma, AZ. I got a job as a paraprofessional at the elementary school on post and enjoyed my job. I worked with several great teachers but came to the realization that teaching was not really what I wanted to do after all. While there, I got pregnant with our first daughter Anne Elisabeth, born August 2, 2006. I finished out the school year and turned in my resignation to become a stay at home mom. 7 short months later I found out I was expecting number 2. Not long after finding out I was pregnant again we were transferred to Ft. Hood, TX where we currently are. After talking it over for a while, we've decided that the Army has been good to us but it's not the life we want forever so when his time is complete, Wayne will be done with the Army and going to school to be a nurse. That being the case, we bought a house here in Killeen, TX. Our second daughter, Melisande Noelle, was born on November 30, 2007. I was blessed to have wonderfully simple pregnancies. Wayne is currently deployed and serving our country in Afghanistan. He will be there for 15 long months, 2 of which have already passed. We are lucky to be able to talk on a regular basis through e-mail, internet voice calls, ocassional sattelite phone, and instant messenger. I'm still a stay at home mom and have recently adopted a puppy that gives me just as many loving trials as my two beautiful girls. The picture to the right is our last family photo before my husband left. Hopefully, it will not be our last family photo ever. While he's been gone, I've been spending my time making quilts and curtains, cross stitching, and fixing up the things which have fallen apart in our house since he left. These things keep me busy enough to not miss him as much. I also stay busy with my calling as a primary teacher in church and as a volunteer for our Family Readiness Group in the Army. And, of course, raising my children. Well, I think that brings everyone up to date on the last 10 years of my life. Devin and Haley (Peterson) Twitchell

Let's see...A lot has happend in the past 10 years. To start off, Devin served his mission in Barcelona Spain. In the meantime I stayed home and continued my education. I also had my adorable little girl Camryn who is now 9 years old. Wow! Time flies when you're having fun.

Anyway, when Devin got home we met up in a singles ward and dated for a year and married in July 2002. Soon after that we found out we were pregnant with little Leigha. She was born 4 days shy of our first anniversary. She lived with us for 4.5 months and returned to her Father in Heaven. We cherished every moment we had with her. A few weeks after she passed on, I graduated with my RN and waited about 6 months before I sarted working. Devin continued his education @ BYU in cancer research. It wasn't too much longer when we found out we were pregnant again with our 3 child, little Ethan. He will be 3 next week.&nbs p; He sure gave us a run for our money! I had to do mouth to mouth on him twice, but he made it and is one energetic little boy. We lived in an apartment in Provo for little while.

When the opportunity arose to buy a home..we took it.

We moved to Orem and lived there for about 2 years where we had our 4th child this past January. Little McKenna is almost 8 months old now. Between working/school and being full time parents, we certainly had our hands full. Devin had been applying to PhD programs all over the US. He got accepted to some, but in areas that would cost us dearly financially. So, we picked one and left for Tennessee so Devin could pursue his education We actually left the day of our reunion to go out and buy a home in Tennessee.

Well, actually we are living in Mississippi but it's just right on the boarder. Everything is cheaper in Mississippi. I guess we will be here for at least the next 5 years but it will all pay off in the long run. Right now I get to be a stay @ home Mom. That's something I've never had an opportunity to do since I've had children. I'm going to cherish this time I have with my children. Audra (Munn) Gines

The last ten years have flown for us. After high school, I went to Utah State for two years. In the summer of 2000 I came home and started working as a Real Estate Asst.; that same month one of my really good friends and soon to be hubby came home after serving for two years in the Bristol, England LDS Mission. We were married September of that summer. During this time I worked for NuSkin Ent. and had our first child two years after we were married. Jake, worked for Kevin Scholz Architecture Firm for two years and then we headed up to University of Utah where Jake was accepted to the Arch + Design Program. We lived in Sugar House for four years, and loved it.
We had our second child, Holden the summer after Jake's first year of his BS.

During this time, Jake was able to travel to Spain to study Architecture as well as Japan the next year where I was able to visit for 10 days as well. We had some great experiences while in school, but I can gladly say it's OVER!

Jake received his BS and MA from the U of U and graduated as one of the top in his class. After graduating and sifting through different offers, we decided to come back to work for Kevin Scholz at Sholz & Associates in Provo. We were excited that our kids would be able to play outside more and have more opportunity to live the lifestyle we wanted them to have.
About one month before the U of U started back up, the school contacted Jake and offered him a teaching position for the First Year Arch. Students teaching the Studio Class. This was a huge opportunity for him and of course he took it. What turned out to be supposedly temporary has turned into something he loves and will continue to do; being that they want him to continue teaching three times a week during the school year. Busy!

Just before Jake went into his final year of his Master's, I started selling Lia Sophia. It gave me the opportunity to get out of the house 1-2 nights a week and still stay at home with my kids while my husband finished school. I have now been with the company for two years and it has done great things for us. I really enjoy it, and the opportunity I have had to travel, and meet amazing women. Last May right after Jake graduated, I competed in my first Triathlon down in St. George UT. It was a great experience and is something I will probably try to do the rest of my life, I am also coaching my little sister's softball team this summer, which if you know me, I love and has proven to be a lot of fun. Jake and I are both planning in running in the Hobble Creek Half this coming August!

We have been blessed and I'm grateful for all the things we've accomplished!

I love seeing everyone’s blogs here. I googled Springville High class of 1998 to see when our reunion would be and realized I had missed it. I am glad to have found this online reunion. Well after Graduation I went to Utah State University to major in Elementary Education. I had a plan I was going to study hard and play hard and NOT get a boyfriend. I hadn’t even been moved into my apartment 24 hours when the best-looking guy I had ever seen walked in.

I knew I was in trouble, but tried my best to ignore him. It was pretty useless, the first time he kissed me I wasn’t sure if my legs would work to get me back to my apt and I knew my plan was busted. So eight years, two kids, two cars, three apartments, and two houses later we still like each other.

I took a social problems class in college and it inspired me to change my major to counseling with a minor in sociology. I put my self through college working at a flower shop and loved it. I had the opportunity to do counseling at Utah State and Mountain Crest High School. Ironically after all of that I realized I did not like counseling and I loved flowers J. My husband is a structural engineer (primarily a bridge engineer). Shortly after graduation our first son, Avery, was born.

Two weeks later we moved from Logan to Portland Oregon so Austin could take a job as a bridge engineer. We were there for three years and had many great adventures. We LOVED it there and would love to live there again someday. However after our second son was born, Everett, we thought we should move back to Utah to be near family. So five weeks after Everett was born we moved to River Heights, Ut (by Logan). After coming back to Logan I started doing weddings at the flower shop I worked at through college at night after my kids went to bed.

Then last fall it went up for sale and I bought it. I have a partner and we have it worked out that I work from home all but one day a week. So I mostly stay home but own my own shop. It is crazy busy and most days more than I can handle but I love it. My boys are almost 5 and 2 they are so funny. At times they make me want to pull my hair out, but also they give me the happiest moments of my life. I often give them hugs and hope that that through osmosis they can absorb all the love and hope I have for them. 10 years has gone by in a blink yet been so full of adventure as I'm sure it has been for everyone whether you're in Utah, away, single or married or have children. And this is what makes it so hard to know where to begin...
After graduating from Springville High I attended BYU and changed my major a few times, finally settling on Nutritional Science with a Russian and Chemistry minor. I had so much fun, even rooming with Taryn Burton my freshman year and going to St. Petersburg on a summer study abroad with Taryn and Allison Arnold among others. I then served in the Russia Moscow mission from 2001 to 2003. After returning home and a few interesting relationships later I met my husband Joseph Donaldson (Timpview '96) randomly one summer evening on BYU campus while walking to my car. A dance, weight lifting, and nutritional science class later we were engaged and married April 2004 and then found ourselves in Louisville, KY for Medical school that August. In the four years there we had two children, our daughter Elle (2 1/2) who my mom says is a "mini me" but a daddy's girl and our son Hyrum (9 mos) who follows the Donaldson boy tradition in looks and height. After my husband's graduation this May we moved our things to New Orleans in preparation for Internship and Ophthalmology residency starting in June at LSU-Ocshner for the next four years.For now I enjoy the challenge of staying at home with our children and am anxiously looking forward to what the future holds for our family.
This summer has been filled with many mini reunions for our family and we are so grateful for this time to reflect and reconnect and we look forward to seeing/hearing from as many of you as we can. Hello! You know, I thought I'd feel older by now. Maybe I will after I recap the last 10 years. At the end of our senior year I'd won first in state at a language competition so after graduation I went to Moscow for a few weeks to compete in the International Olympiada of Spoken Russian. That was an interesting experience and I came away with a bronze medal. That might sound good but to be fair it was more like they gave everyone a bronze medal just for being there and not that I actually won third place in anything. After I got back from Russia I moved with my best friend Julie to Heritage Halls at BYU. We had a blast as roommates and ended up sharing apartments a few more times during college. I studied International Politics and Russian and was president of the BYU Rebel Swords Fencing Club. You know we were cool because we had "Rebel" in the name of our club. The summer of 2000 I went on study abroad to St. Petersburg with a small group that included Nicole and Taryn from high school. I wouldn't say we did a lot of "study" that semester but we definitely had adventures in holy water and some insanity. On my way home I stopped in Helsinki and played with Laura who some of you may remember as the exchange student from Finland during our senior year. While I was in Russia Julie had moved to New Zealand for a year. That sounded awesome so I went to visit and we traveled the islands and saw some sheep. I continued my studies with an internship at the International Crisis Group in Washington DC. After that I graduated with my BA in Political Science. During the 2002 Olympic Winter Games I was a volunteer up at Soldier Hollow. Then I decided to go on a mission and was called Spanish speaking. Yep, Spanish speaking. I ended up loving it of course but it was pretty funny and I had a Russian accent at times. The years seem to have flown by since then and currently I live in Orem and work as the HR Manager for Utah Valley Pediatrics. I haven't given up on a career that relates to my college education but it's taking awhile. So for now I'm here and enjoying life with my family and friends. A few years ago I took up the Brazilian martial art Capoeira and I love it. It keeps me running around and working hard and someday I will learn to flip like the gymnast I never was. You gotta have goals anyway. Happy ten years everybody!

I wish I could make it to the reunion but things just didn't work out. After graduating back in 1998 I was off to UVSC . After a semester I started Dancing with Fire & Ice Country Dance Team. This was a blast and let me travel throughout the country every few weeks just to dance and compete. After our Team won the World Championship in Nashville TN I decided that it was a good time to move on. I transferred over to BYU to finish my BS in Business, and started working as a Financial Manager for a Medical Imaging Company. In 2001 I met a guy who actually tried to kiss me three different times on the first date. I was told he was a "player" but that I was also and we deserved each other. I guess we did deserve each other because we were married in 2002. In 2004 My husband Jared graduated from BYU, so July 2004 we moved to Des Moines IA, and our first son (Kaden) was born that next month. I was able to keep my job and work from home while hanging out with Kaden. After two years in Iowa we moved to Sandusky, Ohio for Rotations. We spend our time at Cedar Point and traveling around the East. Dec 2007 Jared matched to an Anesthesiology, Residency in San Antonio TX, so we bought a house and moved down to TX. We have only lived in San Antonio a month and have really enjoyed it. I am still working as a Financial Manager and we are expecting our Second Son in September. I had planned on attending the reunion, partly as an excuse to see family and friends in the Mapleton/Springville area, but unfortunately my job is keeping me in my adopted home of Bethesda, Maryland. I cannot believe that we are all nearing 30. We're old. After graduation I studied history and linguistics at Utah State University interrupting my studies with a 2 year stint at a missionary in Ohio where I learned to appreciate the finer aspects of Racoon cuisine. Seriously, it wasn't all that hick, but I did see fellow Red Devil David Young while I was there. Returning home I completed my education taking time to work summers in Yellowstone and study abroad in Cairo, Egypt where I studied Arabic and Arabic Calligraphy.

After USU I was accepted to Princeton University's Department of Near Eastern Studies where I pursued a Master's Degree and continued to study Arabic and Arab culture from some world class professors. After leaving Princeton I got a job with an NGO in DC run by an acquaintance of mine from Egypt. As a wet behind the ears newbie to the real world, I worked at the Mosaic Foundation (www.mosaicfound.org) doing everything from filing bills to organizing international bazaars and scholarly lectures.

After one year at Mosaic, I received a phone call from someone who has changed my life forever. A women who did contract work for Mosaic called to offer me a position working for the Royal Family of Saudi Arabia under HRH Princess Haifa Al-Faisal, daughter of the late King Faisal and wife of the former Saudi Ambassador to the US. I am being hired as a Research Consultant (I prefer "Roving Royal Researcher") to assist the descendants of His Majesty King Faisal, who died in 1975, in compiling and creating an archive devoted to his memory containing documents, books, pictures, etc of his life and reign. I have been signed on to the project for one year with a chance to extend if they like my work. In fact, I just returned from visiting with Princess Haifa and other royals in Saudi Arabia. I am very excited and overwhelmed my new position and can't wait to get the project underway.

As to my personal life. There isn't one! Just kidding, I have dated (do date), but I am still single at 28 which makes it all the easier now to galavant around the globe like the world's most boring copy of Indiana Jones. After this job is over I plan to persue a degree in Archive Sciences at the University of Maryland (I have already been accepted, but afterwards got this new job and decided to defer my matriculation). Upon graduating, I hope to settle into the staid life of a rare books and manuscripts curator. So now that the reunion is days away I guess I should finally sit downand come up with a post. I started up at BYU the fall followinggraduation, studying chemistry. I completed one year before leaving on a mission to Maracaibo, Venezuela. Upon returning I met my future wife, Heather, relatively quickly (we were lab partners in a chemistry class; nerdy, huh?) and we were married about a year later. We continued going to school and living in Springville, and finally graduated in 2004, me in chemistry and Heather in bioinformatics. From there it was off to snowy Milwaukee for medical school for the next four years, where our first son, Isaac, was born in '06. Our second(male, but yet to be named) should be arriving in October '08. Meanwhile Heather has put her skills to work to help put me through school, working for the med school and for a related company. I finally graduated in May of this year, and I will be doing my first year of residency in Milwaukee and then we will move to Minneapolis next year for another four years of residency in radiation oncology.Unfortunately I was unable to land a spot further west than that, but we like the midwest too. Until residency starts we are vacationing and camping, and we were lucky enough to have the class reunion fall when we would be in Utah anyway!

Anna (Roberts) Cox

Hey friends! After high school I went to college at the University of Utah. My first 2 years I studied Communications, spent winters working at Alta ski resort and a summer traveling to Africa and working at a Jewish summer camp in Pennsylvania. I spent another summer doing study abroad in Japan. Then I served an LDS mission in Puerto Rico, and loved it. After my mission I returned to the U of U, finished up my Communications degree and also completed a degree in Nursing. I got into back country ski racing in the winters and during summers I worked as an adventure guide for kids in Colorado and Costa Rica. My last year in school I met my soul mate, Nate Cox on an ice climbing trip to Ouray, Colorado. We got married July 8, 2006, just after I graduated from the U of U. We lived in St. George for a year and a half while I worked at the hospital as a nurse and he worked for Sun River as a project manager. During that time we took a month off to explore Chile and Argentina. We moved from St. George to Heber, Utah in January when Edward Jones offered my husband a job as a financial planner in Park City. Heber is ideal for us, we love being so close to so many fun things. We both enjoy biking, climbing, skiing, rafting and exploring the planet. I worked at a surgical center as a nurse until last week when I started my maternity leave. I am due to have a baby girl any day now! Doesn't the ultra sound make her look like the cutest little alien? I am really looking forward to being a stay home mom and working a few times a month to keep my nursing license.

Wow 10 years? i am feeling very old here since my husband and i just celebrated our 10 year anniversary as well. Well right after high school i married Matt Mortensen and i went right to work for a loan collection company and my husband has been working with a fence company doing contract sales for the past 13 years, and has recently been doing real estate as well so i could be a stay at home mom to our sweet little girl Mckenzie who will be turning 4 this november. We live here in springville and have loved it and don't plan on going anywhere. We love to go camping and 4 wheeling and spending time with our friends. While ya'll are reuniting I'll be hard at work reporting the news in Austin, Texas. I've been at News 8 Austin for a little over a year, and to think 10 years ago it was Red Devil Point of View...After graduation I went to SUU, went on a two year sabbatical to Houston, then back to SUU. My first job was @ KCSG in St. George. I covered floods, fires, and Warren Jeffs. After nearly 3 years I thought I'd mix things up by quitting my job and getting married.I met my wife, Chow (Charmaine) during my last year at SUU. She proposed, I said yes, and she said what was your name again. After that exchange we dated for a little over a year and then she went on an 18 month sabbatical to Hawaii.After her return we dated for a few more months and headed to Canada to get hitched. (We're both half Canadian, our goal is have a child that is 100% Canadian.)On our wedding day I got a call about the job in Austin, three days later I got the voice mail. We rerouted our honey to the Lone Star State. A month later we were starting our new life in Texas.The past 15 months have been great. I really can’t believe it’s been 10 years already! I wish I could make it to the reunion this summer but we just can’t make it out right now... Well, the past 10 years have been eventful. After graduation, I attended UVSC for a year before serving a mission to the Philippines. Two years later I was back at UVSC, which I loved, where I finished up in 2004, graduating in Political Science and English. I took a year “off” after college and was fortunate enough to be able to teach introductory political science and American history classes at UVSC for three semesters.

It was during this time that I met my wonderful and beautiful wife Maren, from Kaysville, Utah. As some of you know who have met her she is amazing and a perfect match for me (i.e. she makes fun of me mercilessly and humbles me every day!) After a year of dating – sometimes long distance when I moved to Washington, DC – we were married in May of 2006. We currently live in Alexandria, Virginia (across the river from DC) and are loving life out here.

I moved out to DC in 2005 for law school at American University and to work on the Hill with Senator Hatch’s office. It has been a great experience and in the past couple years I have been able to work at the State Department and with a pro bono law firm assisting post-conflict states with writing constitutions and peace treaties. Pretty much my dream jobs! I just graduated from law school and right now I am studying for the Maryland bar. I will take up my new job for the Department of Defense (at the Pentagon) doing foreign policy work in August. Maren currently works at a lobbying firm downtown but we are planning on starting a family in the very near future. Life has been really busy but very good to us.

It is amazing that it has been 10 years. Wow, has time flown by for me. I have been greatly blessed in those 10 years. I left Springville for Alaska just a few days after graduation. I started work as an insurance agent for Geico and was there for a couple years. I finally decided I wanted to go to college. So I moved back home and started at BYU. I attended there for a year while I was assistant manager at Krispy Kreme in Orem and was trying to start modeling on the side. I didn't go back to school after that first year, but instead worked extra long hours. And went on my first date with Justin, my husband, during finals. He worked out of state for the summer, so we did the long distance thing and fell in love. Six short months later we were married over Thanksgiving break in Virginia. We had to rush back to Utah where I had to train my replacement at Krispy Kreme before we moved to Reno. In Reno, I was able to assist in the opening of a new Krispy Kreme there as the assistant manager. Yup, I got a whole bunch of doughnuts every single day. I totally miss them now. Justin worked for his brother in law at Gale Building Products working with installing insulation and gutters. After a year in Reno, Justin was able to get a job in the computer field in Alaska. His major at BYU had been in computers so he was happy to move up here for a good job. In December 2002 we made the move to Anchorage, AK. Bought our house and have been here since. I was able to start work at Geico again as an insurance agent. And did that up until our second child was born last year, when I was able to be a stay at home mom and have loved it ever since. A dream come true being home with these little ones. In September 2003 we were blessed with Ryan. Our now rambunctious three and a half year old who always keeps me on my toes. Then we had Kara in May 2007. Our little darling princess just turned one and that year has gone insanely fast for me. We are now awaiting the arrival of child number three, which is a surprise. I am due in 40 days and yep the countdown has begun. This is why I am unable to attend the reunion. I enjoyed reading others’ posts so thought I would share a little what I have been up to since our Graduation.
After high school I went to UofU. I started out in nursing, but then took a psychology class and realized how much I enjoyed it (I learned I wasn’t the only crazy person around) and pursued psychology.
In 2000 I grew tired of Utah and needed an adventure, so I tried to think of the furthest place possible, in my mind it was Africa. I volunteered with a program (kind of like the Peace Corp). Basically I rode around the States in a hippie van raising funds for Africa. Yeah, they had us “idealistic” kids begging for money on the streets all over the country. After 6 months of fundraising on the streets I went to Zambia, Africa for 6 months and volunteered in the “bush” with the HIV/AIDS centers and the preschool teachers. An amazing experience, but mostly because I met my husband, David West, while working in Zambia.
2001 David and I returned to Utah so I could finish school, David didn’t know at that time that I am a professional student. I switched my major to Sociology and graduated with a double BS in Psychology and Sociology. No, I don’t use my degrees.
David finally convinced me to marry him (after 5 years of dating) and we married in 2005. A couple months later we adopted a darling dog, the famous Mr. Charlie Brown. He is the joy of our life.
Currently, David and I live in Springdale, Utah, (right at the mouth of Zion Canyon). We own a beautiful fine art photography gallery, David J. West Gallery, which we opened April 1, 2007. (David is a photographer). We are opening our second gallery (mixed-media) July 1, 2008, Old Church Gallery, also in Springdale, Utah. Our current website is http://www.davidjwest.com/.

Since High School, I attended UVSC for a year then served a mission in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. After my mission I attended UVSC for 1 semester then transferred to BYU. I married Christie Newbury, from Springville, in April a year after my mission. I graduated from BYU in 2004 with a bachelors degree in Facilities Management. I have always worked for the family business, ClydeCo. I handle all of the Residential sales and bids. Christie and I had our first child on our 5th wedding anniversary. We had a little girl named Adilyn. She is currently 13 months old and a lot of fun. As a family we enjoy being outside walking, riding bikes or 4-wheeling.

In September of 2000 I married Cody Jensen . We have been blessed with Two Beautiful children. My son Gavin will be 4 in July. And my Sweet Sophia is 15 months. I think the greatest blessing in my life is my family, I couldn't ask for anything more. I love where I am at in my life.My husband just finished school for his journeyman and at the moment we are trying to sell our beautiful home in Spanish Fork so we can build our dream house .

I am in denial that it has been 10 years! I still feel like the same goofy girl I was in high school. I just have some random gray hairs and 3 kids that call me "Mom" now.
The summer after high school, I went to Ricks College (okay, I guess I am old because now it's BYU-Idaho) where I met my husband, Matt (from Denver, Colorado). We got married in 2000 and I transferred over to BYU where I graduated with a degree in Elementary Education. The day after Graduation we headed to Kansas (I know, I know, what's in Kansas?) where my man went to the University of Kansas (go Jayhawks!) for Law School. We had 2 kids during that time. After he graduated, we took a job Carson City, Nevada (in between Reno and Lake Tahoe) where we are now. Matt works as a Deputy Attorney General and I stay home with the kiddos (we have 3 now!) and juggle being a Mom and a Photographer specializing in custom portraiture for newborns, babies, and children (http://www.francephotography.com/ and http://www.francephotography.blogspot.com/. The last ten years have been busy! Not long after high school I was called to the Russia Samara Mission where I served, learned, and loved for just over two years. Upon returning home in early 2001, I attended UVSC where I received my AA before going back to the Russian Federation in 2002 to study and travel with fellow classmate Ray Bradford. While there I picked up a Diploma of Russian Studies from Kazan State Technical University in the Republic of Tatarstan. I finished off my BA in English Literature at the Uof U in spring of 2003 and worked in D.C. as a summer congressional intern for Congressman Chris Cannon that same year. I took a long trip to Europe, helped Coach (Greg) Smith on a couple of 'Survival' treks and officially became a menace to the Mapleton 10th Singles Ward. My plans for law school were derailed in 2005 when my then super-hot girlfriend from Bar Harbor Maine, Cassandra Bingham, gave me an ultimatum between herself and New York. I choose her, and one year and a million laughs later we were married. Having temporarily had enough of the Utah life, two months after becoming newlyweds we packed up and moved to Dublin, Ireland where I got my M.Phil in International Politics and she worked as a manager for an Irish boy-band. In 2007 we moved back to Utah where I found a job as a 4th grade teacher at Liberty Academy in Salem and also began attending the Uof U for my Ph. D in International Relations. Teaching is the best and I can't believe I get paid (what little I actually make that is) for having this much fun. Sandy makes the real money as a Product Line Manager for an internationally marketed nutracutical company also based out of Salem. Neither of us do much in the way of hobbies and most of our free time is spent either getting into trouble, wrestling, or hanging out with friends both old and new. In short, life is just as ridiculously awesome as it ever was. In the future I look forward to more exotic adventures as well as having some kids of my own (besides the kind that leave when the bell rings) and hope to get a job instructing at the collegiate level.

After graduation I attended Ricks College and then BYU. I was also lucky enough to participate in a Study Abroad to Vienna, Austria for a semester while at BYU. I loved Europe and can't wait to get back there someday. My Junior year at BYU, Anna York set me up with her cousin Ben. We were married in August of 2002. The following Spring we both graduated from BYU. Ben with his BS in Business Administration/Finance, and me with my BS in Psychology. Right after graduation we moved across the country to Boston, MA for Ben's work. We loved our time in Boston and became (of course) Red Sox Fans! In October 2004 our first son, Cameron, was born. He was a joy from the beginning, eager to be involved in everything. He was a sweet child and quickly made friends with his penetrating eyes and wide smile. He had amazing coordination for his age, and was shooting hoops at 16 months, and pitching and hitting a baseball at 19 months. Life is precious and unpredictable as we quickly learned. On August 16, 2006 our sweet Cameron quickly and unexpectantly passed from this life to the next. We still miss him everyday and continue to learn and grow from this experience. At the time of Cameron's accident I was 4 months pregnant with our second son. Joshua Cameron was born February 2007. What a gift he has been in our lives. We love him dearly. We said goodbye to Boston in June 2007 and moved to Walnut Creek, CA for the summer while Ben worked for a start up company. Then we moved to Utah for a few months, and then in January 2008 we moved back across the country to the DC area where Ben is working for the same start up company. We plan on moving back to Utah the end of this summer, where Ben will attend the BYU MBA program. Josh is a handful and keeps me hopping. We just seem to have very high energy active boys around here. Which I love and wouldn't change, but the scrapes and falls are making me age faster! Josh is also a sweetheart and a momma's boy. I am expecting our third child in December. Life has been crazy and wonderful. I feel very blessed to share it with my wonderful family and friends. I love being a mom and wouldn't change it for anything in the world.

After Gary got home from a mission to Seoul West, Korea in 2000, we got married in 2001. Adrien graduated from BYU in 2002 with a Bachelors degree in Marriage, Family and Human Development. Gary graduated from the University of Utah in 2006 and is now working as an occupational therapist. He currently works at Kids on the Move in Orem where he helps children (ages 0-3) with disabilities. We have 3 kids - Kayden (4), Parker (2) and Sydney (almost 2 weeks.) Adrien stays at home with the kids and does wedding flowers on the side. We live in Eagle Mountain. Wow, a 10 year reunion sure makes us feel old!

After high school, I went right to work for the family business, Provo Abstract Company, where I am a licensed Title Officer. I never moved far away, although I have lived in almost every town in Utah County, South of Orem. I met my wonderful, italian husband, Vinny, in the summer of 2000. We didn't decide to settle down and get married until June 2003. Along with Vinny came his daughter, Amanda, who is 8 years old now and his stepson, Derrick, who is 13 years old now. We had our own little girl in May 2007. I can't believe she's a year old already! Her name is Marissa. After a difficult delivery, she was born with Erb's Palsy and didn't have the use of her left arm for the first few months of her life. She has full use of her arm now, but we are still dealing with Torticollis. She goes to physical therapy twice a month for that. None of this keeps her down though! She is a very active, happy baby. After high school graduation I did a year at UVSC before serving a mission in Fortaleza, Brazil. I continued most of my college education at UVSC except for a semester at USU and a semester working at Disney World in Florida. It was a wonderful experience. I graduated from UVSC with my BS in Earth Science Education and have recently applied for graduate school at Mississippi State University for a Teaching in Geoscience emphasis. Right now I teach 7th grade science and 9th grade Earth Systems at Union Middle School in Sandy. As you can see from the pictures, middle school students can literally turn you into a mad scientist. As difficult as it is sometimes, I still love it. For example, I was freezing carrots in liquid nitrogen the other day and a student put it in his mouth and it froze solid to his tongue. LOL! The best part of my life thus far is meeting my exquisitely beautiful wife, Kiara. She and I literally laugh together every day. We met in 2004 and after a week of dating we decided to get married nine months later, Aug. 12, 2005. We're coming up on our three year anniversary and we're still on the honeymoon! She is absolutely wonderful. No kiddies in the oven yet but soon enough. We are currently living in Orem right now while Kiara goes to UVSC to get her AS degree this December. She plans on getting a BS in Psychology. We love the outdoors, watching movies, or anything where we're together. (The only problem being outside is I start to explain the science of what's around us, picking up rocks and explaining what happened millions of years ago at that location.) Happy Tenth, Red Devils! This is Josh's new wife, Kara, and I am going to fill you in on my favorite Springville graduate. During his undergrad years Josh attended BYU, served a mission in Guatemala, worked as a wildland firefighter during the summers and moved to New York City upon college graduation. The two of us met at the start of his second year at NYU Medical School. I was a performer on Broadway at the time and was surprised to learn he had never seen a show before. Since then we have seen many productions and enjoyed exploring Manhattan together. We were married at the Newport Beach Temple last June and honeymooned in Mexico. Currently, I am a Radio City Rockette and Josh has one year until graduation, at which point he will pursue a career in ophthalmology. Our big news is that we are expecting our first little bundle of joy this Halloween (my dancing shoes will be taking a little break!). I can't believe it's already been 10 years!! After graduation, I attended Snow College for a year and it was there that I met Doug Sheneman from Grand Junction, Colorado. We dated for about a year and were married in August 1999. We moved to Colorado for a year and then to Salt Lake City to attend the University of Utah. Doug now owns a commercial and residential heating and cooling company, Hidden Canyon Heating & Cooling(keepcomfy.com) and really enjoys that. I own a photography business, Studio Sixteen Photography that I run in my spare time (not very often).We have a 5 year old daughter named Mia and a 2 year old son named Jack. I feel very lucky to be able to stay home and be their mom. After high school I went to college for a year and then to perth, Australia on my mission. When I got back I worked for my dad at the car lot and went to UVSC. A year later I got set up on a blind date with my wife Cassidy. We have been married for 6 years and have two awesome kids, Jordan our 5 year old daughter aka "Drama Queen" and Connelly our 2 year old boy AKA"Conzo". I went and got my real estate license and worked for landmark real estate for a couple years,Then my cousin and I started our own company, we worked together for a while until I got a great oppertunity to move my license back to landmark and start a home building division of the company. We Currently live in spanish fork and are just going through life working and tryng to play as much as possible. For fun we love to go camping and ride the motorcycles, our kids did there first race on5-10-2008 it was so much fun for them especially the power wheels class. We are excited to see everyone again, and look forward to catching up.

After graduation, I continued dating my future wife (I met her the middle of my Senior year), Brooke Hamblin from Orem. We were engaged shortly after we graduated and married the following February 1999. We lived in Springville for 1-1/2 years and then bought a home in American Fork to be closer to my work. I work for my father-in-law's company, Majestic Cabinets, in American Fork, installing cabinets and countertops. It keeps me pretty busy! I've worked for them for almost as long as I've been married (9 years)! In October of 2001, we had our first daughter, Haylie. In July of 2005, we had our second daughter, Chloe. And in July of 2008, we will be having our third daughter. I know, all girls - when will I ever get a boy to play baseball with and take fishing? Guess I'll have to do that with my girls! We lived in our home in American Fork for 7 years and then decided it was time for something a little bigger as our family was continuing to grow. We just recently built a new home in Lehi and moved in just a few months ago (January 2008). My wife works at home as a Medical Transcriptionist and takes care of our 2 beautiful little girls (soon to be 3). We're excited to see everyone at the reunion and hope everyone is doing well!

Time is fleeting. I remember when I was younger, people talking about their 10-year reunions, thinking, "Man, they are so OLD"! Now look… As I'm reading about all my fellow class of ninety-eighters, I'm brought back to the importance of connection. We all exist in different spheres, but our purpose here is the same. But, dang it, we just want to feel young again!I found my niche in life. I was working part-time and attending UVSC, but not finding much satisfaction. I started to work full time at Snelson Photo Lab in Springville, where I was introduced to the "computer" aspect of photography, and got hooked! I met my husband, Scott, here in Springville while he lived with his grandparent's in transition from Snow College to Utah State. We dated long distance until we were married in December 2001 (thank goodness for cell phones and email). I attended Utah State University, delving into the graphic design programs they offered for 2 years. While in Logan, I worked for Steve Mackley (photographer) as his digital artist. Scott graduated from Utah State in Parks and Recreation and currently works for Springville City.I've put College and work on hold indefinitely, because I devote all my time to my 2 kids! Paige (4) is a ball of energy. She is very bright for her age and seems to have my creative gene. Evan (2) is my angel. He likes to follow Paige around everywhere, which results in his love for dresses and ponies (ok so he does like cars too). They are my life.My other life is my camera. I strayed for a time into design, which I still love and do everyday, but eventually found my way back into photography. It is my dream to start my own business, but in the meantime I take lots of pictures of my kids and have a few gigs on the side.We currently reside in Springville, just down the road from the high school to be exact (Did I really drive that fast around that corner? Darn high school kids)! Our current projects all revolve around upgrades to our home, which we bought in 2004. Our dream is to eventually end up in the Northwest. Beautiful country!Life couldn't be sweeter. Check this moment off as another chapter, not the end! It may feel like time is slowing down for a short season, but then it speeds up again to catch itself.

I won’t be able to make it to the reunion but I am happy to post a little bit about what I’ve been up to for the past 10 years.

Wow! 10 years? I can hardly believe it has been that long already. Well, here I go. After graduation I served a mission for the LDS church in the Belgium, Brussels mission. It was sweet! I served the whole time in France and loved it.

When I got home, in October of 2000, I went to UVSC for one year and got my AS degree. Then I went to BYU and it was there that I met my awesome wife, Lisa. Lisa is from Lakewood, Colorado.

I received my BS degree from BYU in Neuroscience in 2005 and then we moved to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida for more school. I am now starting my fourth year of dental school here in Florida.

Our first child, Collin was born in November of 2006. He is so much fun! We are fully enjoying the Floridian life (beach, swimming, theme parks, nice weather, etc.) So life has been great for me. I am not sure what the next ten years will hold for me but I am hoping to move back west and set up a dental practice somewhere.

We would absolutely love to come to the reunion but we are going to be in Florida so hopefully we can make it to the next one.

Joey Beals & Lori (Branam) Beals

Wow...so much has happened in 10 years! A couple of months after we graduated, I was married for 7 years & then divorced. I lived in Cedar City during that time & graduated from SUU with my RN. After my divorce (great learning experience!), I moved back to Utah County. I began working at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center in the ER as an RN & have absoloutely loved it since! I am now a charge/trauma nurse & have worked there 3 years. I had my little miracle baby in November 2006; he was born 2 months early due to complications I was having.

I brought him home from NICU on his due date. In March 2007, I began dating Joey Beals (yeah--we dated in high school--it has just taken us 10 years to get together!) We were married in November 2007 & he will be adopting Kayden this November after we have been married for 1 year. The 2 best things I have ever done in my life are marrying Joey & having my son. Life is great & I have never been so happy!

Joey graduated from UVSC with a degree in collision repair & technology management. He has been working as a manager for Cascade Collision in Provo for 5 years. He is an avid jeeper, hiker, bicyclist, etc; now we enjoy doing all of those activities as a family. One of our favorite trips is going to Moab. He bought his own home 2.5 years ago in Spanish Fork; I moved in with him last year when we were married. We still "hang out" with Taylor Davis' & Russell Bartholomew's families as time permits. I think it is kind of funny that Russell B. & Jocelyn Oldroyd reconnected like Joey & I did. They had a little girl on the same day that I had our son. We are excited to see everyone!

10 years wow! Life can be so busy! Right after high school I married my high school sweetheart Chris Bagley, kinda he had graduated in '96. But we were married in November '98 in Manti Utah. I went to work full time as a PCT at UVRMC to put him through the Police Academy. He graduated 18 months later. And joined the Springville Police department and we made our home here. Chris has loved his work the good and bad in May 2002 he was shot in the line of duty in his knee and a week later we found out we were about to add more spice to our life by having our first child Isabelle in '03. Then we found out god as a huge sense of humor and he gave us twin girls in '05 McKinlie and Lillian. I then quit work to stay home and be mom to our crazy beautiful girls. Chris decied to change jobs last August to Utah County Sheriffs where he is on the K-9 team. And that next month we found out we were going to have another baby. Our daughter was born on April 22, 08 her name is Andie. Yes we have lost our minds with 4 girls in 5 years . Now I know why we waited so long to have them. We live in Springville and I hope we will never leave. We have found a home here and love it. In spite of our hecked life I wouldn't want it any other way!!! Our family loves camping and our four wheelers. In fact you can mostly find us in the mountians from May until October and any spare moment is spent with family. I can't believe how different life is after high school but it's been good to me!

Shortly after graduation I was married to Jay R. Sheppard (also a springville high graduate) and ten years later here we are still in Springville. We feel lucky to be around all are family and great friends.

We have two children, Trevin who is 5 years old and loving his first year of kindergarten, and are baby Teagan who is 3 years old, and purely enjoying all the new discoverys in life.

Crazy, 10 years….. Sheesh, what the heck have I been up to?? Well right out of high school I decided that home life was not for me. So I moved out of my parents house and met my lovely wife Rachelle. We were married right away and will be celebrating our 9th year of marriage in July. For the first five years out of high school my wife and I played, and played, and played.

I had a steady job, making a great income, and then one day I woke up, dropped everything sold the house, quit my job and went back to school. I graduated from the University of Phoenix with a B.S. in Business management and a B.S. in Marketing. I am currently working for Flowserve as a Project Manager/Contract administrator.
Our first Child Zoe, was born while I was going to school and she will be turning 4 in July. We have a 1-year-old boy, Liam who has been nothing but a blast and keeps me on my toes, and currently we have one on the way… Don't know what it is going to be, but in all reality I don't care, I love these kids to death.
I spend a good portion of my time working at Flowserve and starting my own travel booking business www.onlinetravelshack.com Its getting off the ground and I have had some great success.
My wife and I just bought a little fixer upper home in Springville, which has tuned into one of my favorite hobbies, or never ending hobby, of fixing or updating the place depends on what day you ask me I guess. I won’t be able to come out to Utah for the reunion but I thought I’d give a little update on the past 10 years. I still feel 18, and my friends all still look 18...they just have kids. So I don’t know where the time has gone. I went to UVSC for a year after high school, then I moved to Florida to go to art school.

After a year of art school I decided to finish my degree at BYU. I lived in Mapleton with my parents for those two years. I actually made it out of BYU single...one of the few. Right before I would graduate I got my dream job, Building theme park rides with Walt Disney Imagineering. I left school to take the job. I have been living and working in Los Angeles ever since. In 2005 I met my husband Chad, who had just moved to Cali from Canada. I was really put off by him at first and decided to stay away from him.

He told me that he had dated all the girls in Canada and needed to move away to find a new singles ward. Wasn’t really the pick up line I was looking for. but he was persistent & a lot of fun.........and we were married in Salt Lake Dec 2006. I’m currently just working away designing theme parks. I have mostly worked on projects in Tokyo, but I have a few things that I’ve designed in Disneyland and Disney World. If you come ride Midway Mania opening in both Florida and Cali you will see my work. It’s been an amazing ten (10) years since I graduated from S.H.S. Here’s kind of a brief summary of what’s happened since that time:

I served a mission to Zimbabwe, Africa (Malawi & Zambia too). ’99 to ‘01

I attended UVSC until ’02 and transferred to BYU where I graduated in Construction Management in ‘04

I got married to Jennifer Lee Walker (same middle name as mine!) in October of ’02; she is from Centerville, Utah.

We’ve since had two beautiful daughters (Paityn age 3 and Presley nearly six months old).

I’ve been employed with my dad’s company since ’01 but spent about five months in Hawaii with a company shortly after graduating from BYU.

I still hang out with some of my best friends from High School; Myles P, Mike S, Brady N, Garrett C, Chris N, Matt G, Seth O. I’m currently living in St. George managing a construction project for my company which is for the city of St. George. It’s a commercial block/structural steel building and should be finished around August/September.

I’m looking forward to the reunion and hope a lot of people show up that I haven’t seen since graduation. Thanks to the Senior Class Officers for all the hard work you’ve put in to making this a success. I appreciate all your hard work and can’t wait to enjoy some good times with some good friends.

After graduation I went to UVSC to study and play volleyball for the school team. I met my husband Mark, also a volleyball player, we were married in May of 2000. We moved to California to study and play for California State University at Northridge. I played for the women's team and Mark played for the men's. Life was great... Newly married in California, beach, playing volleyball and getting college paid for. After one year of playing, Jacob our first son was born September of 2001. I sat out for one season, then played one additional year with my husband and one-year-old little boy watching from the stands. After graduation with a degree in Child Development I spent my time with Jacob, just being a mom and loving it. In August 2004 Ireland (Iree) joined our family. We decided our 1 bedroom apartment was getting a little too full so we moved back to Utah. We bought a home in South Jordan (Daybreak) and settled in. In September 2006 our son Mason was born.

We keep ourselves very busy. My husband Mark is a Business Analyst for a mortgage servicing company and is also a partner in a Mortgage Company, Advocate Home Loans. I do most of his processing from home and love it. Mark also plays in a hockey league at the Olympic Oval, the kids and I love to watch. I play in a volleyball league for a little free time from the kids and look forward to some outdoor competition this summer. Most of my time is spent keeping up with my 3 kids.

Jacob is in kindergarten and is just like his dad...smart, loves playing baseball, hockey, soccer and can't wait to start football next year. He and his dad are die-hard Bronco fans and never miss watching a game.

Iree is a princess, not a "tom boy" like her mom. She likes anything to do with princesses, Polly pockets and painting fingernails. She keeps me busy playing dolls and having tea parties.

Mason is our little fireball. He is small but you can't stop him from doing anything his older brother does. If Jacob jumps off the 5th step... Mason will. I have to be on my toes to avoid a disaster.

Occasionally, I look back and wonder how I ended up married with 3 kids when I still feel like I'm 18. Life is great... 100% better than my high school days... and getting better every day.

After graduation I attended Southern Utah University in Cedar City for a semester and then I went on an LDS mission to Santiago, Chile. Afterwards I returned to SUU to complete a bachelor's degree in Advertising. While there I met my amazing wife Leslie and we were married in December 2002. After I finished my B.A. we had our first girl Morgan, moved to Ogden and started a new job at Weber State University; all within a week. After a short stint at Weber, I was offered a position at SUU. We returned to Cedar City and have been here for three years. We had our second girl Callie in October (yes, I am outnumbered 3 girls:1 guy...I have a household full of estrogen and emotions...but I love it). During all of this I was fortunate enough to complete my Master's degree in Corporate Communication. I am currently the Assistant Director of Admissions where I oversee all recruitment marketing for SUU and I am also a part-time (adjunct) professor in the Communication department. My family and I love to spend time together reading (yes reading...I have changed a bit), camping, yard-work and most of all laughing. I agree with everyone that says the last 10 years have gone by fast but I am also looking forward to the next 10. Life is good! Take care!

Wow! I thought I was the only one that has been married for 9 years this year. . .I met my husband the summer after graduation. I went to Utah State University, and then he followed me up there from BYU the following semester. We were married in August 1999. I graduated from USU with a degree in Horticulture - it was one of those fun and interesting majors that don't actually prepare you to work in a particular field unless you plan on furthering your education and doing research. Oh well. After graduation we moved to Northern California, about 45 minutes east of San Francisco, where we have been ever since. I stay at home with our two kids; Anna (4 this month) and Carson (1). After High school I went to a year at Snow college then decided to move back home and work. I think that was a great choice, because that is how I met my husband, Brent. We got married January 2000 and we lived in Pleasant grove for a while until we built our first house in Saratoga Springs, only to have to sell it after 3 months because my husband got a job with the Boise Fire Department. We moved to Boise one month after having our first daughter (who was born in Aug.2001) We have been here in Boise Idaho ever since and we absolutely love it here! We have three beautiful little girls. Madison is the oldest, will be 7 in August. She loves to read and she is quite the little artist. Madi is very motherly too, and loves to be in charge of things. She is always wanting to learn and explore new things. Cassidy, 4 1/2 (birthday Nov.2003) is our bundle of over-flowing energy! She loves to do anything that requires your body to move. You can get this little girl to try anything. Cassi always keeps us hopping! And you wouldn't believe how much that kid can eat!!! Our little Elsie (will be 2 in July) is the smiliest little baby anyone will ever meet. She was just recently diagnosed with Mild Cerebral Palsy. But she is a tough little girl and she works hard daily to do things that come naturally to other little ones. She is a bright little sunshine to us every day. Anyone who meets her is instantly in love with her bright smile and soft heart. Brent, my husband, is a Fireman/Driver for the Boise Fire Department and loves what he does! He also loves to build, make, and fix anything! He is an amazing man who has three, well, four (myself) little girls who look up to him. I enjoy staying at home with my little ones. I also enjoy being able to run my photography business from my home. I love that I can be a mom and photographer. I also love to run. We do a lot of camping, swimming, games...anything we can do together...we will do it!!! We love being a family! I was working on my Bachelor's Degree at UVSC, when I was "set up" with Brian Torgersen! Funny thing, I don't think I ever believed in "love at first sight," until I met him. He is absolutely amazing! We met in August of 2004, and were married 4 months to the day we met, in December 2004. Regretably, I finished that semester at UVSC, and then just went to work, trying to help Brian finish school, so we could start a family. Colin joined our family on Christmas Day, 2006, and has blessed our lives beyond description! We currently live in American Fork, but don't plan to "plant" ourselves here. Life has been good to me. I received my Associates Degree at UVSC. I worked and went to college non-stop until my councilor said I had too many credits and I had to wait for one class to open for my degree in Special Education. In the midst of waiting I met my spouse, Kevin and we dated long-distance and were married 7 months later. I worked as a substitute teacher and got my fill for teaching as we lived on his family's alfalfa farm by Paragonah. We planned to finish my degree starting the next semester at USU. Then surprise! Samantha was born a couple months after our first anniversary. I knew I couldn't leave my baby so I took classes up until she was born at UVSC for a Preschool Certificate, and Kevin took the Fire Fighter classes there too. We bought a small home in Springville next to the Junior High and we fixed it up completely, and Kevin was a volunteer on the Springville Fire Dept. We moved to St. George for Kevin to continue education and I had our second child, Derrick. Kevin found us a house in Gunlock on 1.25 acres. 1973 and all the wood panel and green would be considered vintage now. We plan to update slowly as finances permit. I had KayDee a couple months after we moved in and we have resided there since. I turned out to be pregnant everytime we moved and we think we found our resting place, so we think our family is complete too. Kevin is the Gunlock Fire Captain (volunteer of course) and tiling, and I am still doing my field research in child development and maternal development. Being a mom is hard but so worth it!Now that we are adjusted to Southern Utah climate we enjoy doing our favorite things: off-roading, hiking, camping, biking, and whatever else allows us to be outside. After graduating from high school I headed up to Logan to attend Utah State University. This is where I became a TRUEAGGIE, ran my first and only half marathon, and wished that they had a class in socializing because that would have been an easy "A". I worked 4 years at the creamery serving ice cream. And yes the rumor is true, you do develop a large arm from scooping ice cream. I graduated from USU, majoring in Marketing and minoring in Business Information Systems and I also brought home one large arm (from the scooping.) After graduating I moved back to Springville and tried the real estate thing, got my license and quickly decided that it wasn't for me. In the mean time I had moved to Provo and met Mr. W"right", although for the first 6 months I thought he was Mr. Wrong. Finally I had a change of heart and fell in love with Mr. Wright. We got married a little over two years ago. My boss in the real estate world was incredible and helped me find the position I am currently in. I am the Event director for a company called Corporate Alliance. I basically throw parties all the time. I love my job. My husband recently got accepted to Medical School so at the end of August we are headed out to Columbus, Ohio to attend Ohio State. Go Buckeyes! 2 days after we got married we moved to Mesa Arizona, where we stayed for 5 years. We moved back to Utah in 2004, and are currently living in Springville. In May 2003 we had our first child, a boy name Kai, then in November of 2005 we added a little girl named Makayela. We are expecting our 3rd child in September.

Following graduation, I attended what was then Ricks College in Rexburg, Idaho. On the first day of fall semester, I met my sweet husband Logan...a bit earlier than I’d planned, but after dating for a year, we were married in September of 1999. After we both finished our Associate’s degrees at Ricks’, we moved to Ogden to attend Weber State University. I finished my Bachelor’s degree there in Family Science, and Logan completed his in Construction Management. Currently, Logan’s company, Headwaters Construction, builds everything from "high-end/resorty residential" to commercial. It brought us to Victor, Idaho (20 minutes from Jackson Hole, WY) a couple years ago, so that’s where we call home for now.
We've had 4 girls: Mackenzie (currently in heaven), Janessa (7), Breklyn (5), and Kambria (2 ½). We are anxiously awaiting the arrival of our first boy any day...finally! I get to stay at home with my munchkins, and I love it! As a family, we enjoy a good bike ride, "cookouts" in the mountains, snow skiing, and of course the kids love to wrestle dad! I can't believe it has been 10 years. I haven't been up to a lot, except for being a mom. I was married March 1999 to my wonderful husband Kam Mortensen (class of '97). We started our family with the birth of our first girl Samantha in August 1999, followed by our second girl Jordan in August 2002, followed by yet another girl Tiffanee in October 2004, finally we had a boy, Kooper in January 2007. He completes our family. We lived in Springville until we built our house in 2002. We live in Santaquin, and love it down here. I don't think we will ever move. Kam is a plumber and works for a company in Alpine. After being a stay at home mom for 9 years, I went to work for IHC, where I hope to return to school and become a phlebotomist. We ended up eloping to South Padre Island; getting married on the beach. It was perfect! Just the two of us.

About a year later Drayton came to join our family; he's our precious little accident. I would never choose to become a mother and tackle graduate school all in the same year. Just last week we fled from southeast Texas to Utah. We're just sinking our feet in to settle down, but we're nervous and not sure if this was the right decision. We'll know soon enough.

Has it really been 10 years??? Wow, we're old. Well, after graduation I headed to Dixie College for 3 years. I became a Paramedic and worked in St. George until I decided I needed to get serious about school. I moved to the big city (SLC) in 2001 and finished up my BS and got ready to apply for medical school. In the meantime, I met my now husband, Adam and shortly after we met we moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 2004. I lived there with him for 2 years, then moved back to SLC in 2006 to start medical school at the U. After he completed residency in 2007, he moved back to Utah and we were married at Solitude Ski Resort on 7-7-07 (I know,the date is a bit cheesy, but it was the best weekend ever!)

We now live in SLC with the two best dogs, Neko and Cash. Adam works at St. Marks hospital in the emergency department, and I am just finishing my second year of medical school. We stay plenty busy skiing in the winter, and biking and hiking with our dogs in the warmer weather. I look forward to hearing what everyone has been doing and seeing you all in June!

I currently still live in Springville, just around the corner from where I grew up. I enjoy the neighborhood and lifelong friends and don't plan on going anywhere else anytime soon (right behind Sophia Child, actually). After high school, I attended Ricks College, got my Associates in General Studies, then moved back to Utah. I tried attending UVSC but couldn't handle the atmosphere after the Spirit of Ricks, and stopped attending. I met my future husband, Eric Cuthill from California, at the point (on the internet) in August of 2001 with no intentions of dating anyone. But one thing led to another, and we got married the next July. He joined the Army soon before our wedding, and afterwards we headed to Washington State for his first station. He was injured while on the job, and was soon honorably discharged. We headed back to Utah, had our first child, Daysun who will be 4 this year. Another child, Annica, came along a couple years later in 2006. I am a stay-at-home mom that takes on way too much. Between kids, preschool, babysitting, small part time job, church callings, husbands work and school, and anything else I can't think of at the moment...things can get pretty busy. After graduation I was able to go to Germany with Frau Winegar and some other students. It was so fun and a great learning experience. It was nice to be able to use the skill of learning a foreign language. I attended Snow College with Amber (Mecham) Miyake as my roommate. I studied business classes and then changed my emphasis to early childhood education. I met my husband, Jon, at Snow College and we were married January 2000. Alex joined our family shortly after our 1st anniversary in 2001. We moved into our house in Provo when he was only 4 months old and hope to be here forever. We love our neighborhood and our home.

Caleb was born September 2002. He is really excited to start school this fall. Leah completed our family in 2004. We were so happy to have a little girl. I love being a stay-at-home mom and doing preschool with my kids. I also work part time as a cake decorating instructor at the Orem Robert's store. I've been there for 2 years now. After graduation I went to UVSC for a few years while still working at the beloved Art City Pharmacy, but after a while decided I needed a change and quit the pharmacy and put a hold on school. I got a job doing accounting at a software company where I met my husband, Andy, who is from San Francisco. We were married in October of 2002 and in May of 2003 we were asked by the company we worked for to move to our office in New York City and we jumped at the chance. I worked on Wall Street just down the street from the New York Stock Exchange for a year before we adopted our daughter Samantha and I became a stay-at-home mom. 14 months later we adopted our son Alex who is the biological brother to Samantha which we felt very lucky about! Andy continued to work in the city for an additional 2 1/2 years and we resided in New Jersey and loved it there. We decided then we had done our time away and were ready to come home to Utah so Andy's company moved us back to Utah where we have been for a year and a half. I enjoy being a stay-at-home mom most days but the kids keep me busy and frustrated and some days I would gladly go back to the carefree days at Springville High!! My husband completes his MBA in a year after which we plan to move international for a couple of years and enjoy that experience. After graduation, I left home and made the long trip all the way to BYU. I worked on my degree in Public Relations and a Business minor. Things kind of changed perspective when I was set up on a date with my husband, Jon, in 2000. I transferred to SUU and changed my degree to Elementary Education with a Reading Minor. I delivered our first child, Avery, a few months after graduation in 2002.

We headed out to the University of Illinois, in Champaign-Urbana, for my husband to attend law school. Luke made us a family of four in 2005.

We are now living in the Milwaukee, Wisconsin area, where my husband does commercial real estate law. We just had our third child, Abigail, last September. We love it here! Hopefully we aren’t planning on moving any time soon, because I seem to have a baby in every state we live in!

Fortunately, my change in degrees has worked out well for me. I absolutely love being a stay-at-home mom, but I also keep up with a variety of hobbies on the side, including www.citruslist.blogspot.com. I can't believe we graduated 10 years ago. A lot has happened since then. I graduated from BYU in Math Education. I married Steve Child (class of '97) in 2001. I taught at the Jr. High for 4 years (I taught several of your little brothers and sisters). Jr. High was better the second time around. I really loved teaching even though the kids were a bit crazy. It was fun to teach with lots of the teachers we had in Jr. High. I got to see a different side of them. While I taught I also coached softball at the high school. Then I quit when I had my little girl, Alexa. She is 3 years old now (born in 2005) and a lot of fun. She has a ton of energy and keeps me busy. Now I just do math tutoring from my home. Steve works for his family's company in the masonry business. We bought a house in Springville and will probably be here for the rest of our lives! Welcome to my exciting life!
